While I disagree with the word dumb and find "ignorant" more suitable, your Candy Crush comparison is bad. Jonathan Blow nailed it in this presentation: https://youtu.be/AxFzf6yIfcc?t=2436

For me it's not the paranthesis, but that Lisp posts always show low level code. At least half of my programming is tying together high level services and libraries. I know how I can express those concepts succinctly in Java, C++, JS,

I haven't seen any info whether the display is detachable or not and if it's compatible with the pen. If not that's a huge missed opportunity, especially if they're targeting the education sector. As other comments alrea

I've never heard that PS is supposed to run better on one platform. From my personal experience there's no difference. PS performs bad pretty much platform-independently. However I'd love to see some tests about this.

I didn't claim superiority, I just that it's the most serious competitor. A point I still stand by. The original post compared the adoption of C# to the adoption of C++, the now de-facto standard for games. C# does not have what i

Unity games are often reported to have performance issues, allegedly due to the underlying GC (or lack of understanding of it). I'd rather hope for the adoption of a less messy C++ alternative that is suitable for quasi-realtime applic

I'd be more interested to know whether there's a practical use of understanding it on this level. I wanted to learn about monads and wrote some smaller Java examples using streams and flatmap. You can see the benefit and understan

I mean the conclusion is already cryptically hidden in the headline. It's just a terrible style. How I, as a non-native writer, would've written it: Charging money for parking prevents traffic jams Or something along those lines.

It's not so much about the individual points anyway, but about the mentality in general. I came up with these examples off the top of my head. First of all, that Apple is the only one providing usable real-world solutions is simply not

There was an article about iOS security where someone argued that Apple controls the enclave for security reasons, to which I answered that this is basically security by obscurity. You can see I was downvoted for this: https://ne

Patriarchy is a clearly defined term and most western societies don't have one. Much like Hitler comparisons, it only dillutes the term and makes the original concept look more harmless.
