It sucks that you can't simply sideload apps like with Android (it is possible but has many restrictions). That's my main gripe with iOS. Without Apple's servers your device is virtually useless. Apple pulling those apps woul

In a story posted a few weeks ago a user pointed out that Netflix doesn't need to show customers the best recommendations, but good enough ones too keep them paying. Ideally they could phase out pricey licenses and keep them at bay wit

It's not even that. I hate it when a website prompts me to install their stupid app for funtionality that could easily fit in a webapp. If this standard means I don't have to install an app for every website I would be very happy.

Yeah, that's what irks me the most about iOS. Their whole idea of "the filesystem is an outdated concept" just never worked out and they refuse to give up on it. The greatest lie is that your iPad Pro can replace a PC, but yo

I get your point and do have a strong preference towards native apps too. But there are other important factors to consider. I was working on a B2B app where users could see graphs and maps of a construction site in real time. The users wer

FAT32 is a terribly outdated filesystem and should just not be used today, period. The filesize and name restrictions are awful. Mrkrabo does have a point.

Giving ad networks tracking information of your editor usage and possibly access to the code you're working (which they didn't do, but the original statement was 'close to being malware') on is beyond mere adware.

With the pencil you can create pretty high quality drawings. It also seems many photographers are happy with the iPad in their workflow. The problem is that 90% of the rest what people do is cumbersome and full of needless obstacles. How sh

There should be a styleguide that is enforced by CI tools, regardless of language, so that's not an issue. However, special cases in the syntax increase the complexity and I would always argue against that.
