The problem with warning messages is that people will often still just click through them. Someone WILL 100% still click through it and then complain. This is the problem with power tools. They can be very convenient and useful to users who

It's still available. I've been taking it for the past month or so. After learning more about him, he's probably the only person in the world that I envy. I resonate with his ideas a lot, but I'm like 1% of what he is. I

A lot of people who do bad things don't intend to do bad things. He got lucky he didn't fuck up like everyone else who thinks that way. It doesn't make him any better though, on a bad day he could've ended like the rest

As an introvert, I don't really feel lonely when I'm alone. I'm actually more likely to feel lonely at a big social gathering. Small social groups are refreshing, but too much time with others will start burdening me. I only

Elon Musk holds a hammer Headlines: Elon Musk's arms demonstrate musclepower which in the history of times has never been seen before. I feel like he wrote a reasonable letter. That's about it.

Yes. To be fair, this is the first time in my life I can clearly remember implementing a number of linked lists. I'm pretty sure my lifetime total is not much greater than 5.

Recently I heard my mother utter something like (not about me): "Does so-and-so drink? He does? Ok, I was just afraid he is a weirdo." My father and mother and step-father all smash it hard on weekends. Like passing-out-hard. Most

How easy is it to reuse the memory palace? Ultimately I'd like to use this technique to remember played cards during a card game. I can remember most cards quite easily, but often when it comes to the last 3-8 cards, I can't be 10

I either use DuckDuckGo or if it doesn't return relevant results, I use Google in private mode. Private mode obviously doesn't help much (they can easily connect me to my Google Account), but Google does have the years of developm

We know very little about the bacteria in our gut. Take it from someone who had to get surgery because of ulcerative colitis. Things might fuck up in your intestinal system and doctors who have been in the field for 20 years can only shrug.

The worst cases for me are with math-heavy problems. I'll see code mixed with shapes and graphs. The mornings suck, because you wake up knowing you were only half-asleep. That's why I like to play some easy games or read a book 1h

I ran a VoIP server for an application. It received daily attack attempts in various formats. The only reason it never got abused was that I tightly bound it to the application logic, so essentially no call outside the application could be

I used to use Arch Linux and moved to Fedora for the same reasons (don't want to fiddle with everything all the time). I was really surprised to see that it had HiDPI support by default. In Arch, it required some real gymnastics to mak

Rent most likely ~200, food ~100-200, misc ~100. You can get by with 300-500/month in eastern Europe, but you will have to monitor your expenses really closely. 300 if you live with friends/parents, cook at home and don't rea
