It’s pretty insane. Notice any comment which is against witch hunt culture is being downvoted. The tech industry is fairly heavily ideologically captured because of where startup culture is largely based (SF). Edit: and now it’s flagged.

It’s also a way to smuggle claims of racism into the conversation, since in 2022 you can’t have a conversation without racism or people will fall on the floor shaking in withdrawal.

This is very good for endurance cardio. Somewhat less so for anaerobic or higher power levels IMO. For those workouts you can benefit from having a meal or two in your system to stress your muscles more without being limited by energy level

Is any company still producing that type of encyclopedia experience? Wikipedia has information / links / pictures, but it doesn’t have that type of immersion.

I’m a bit more cynical, given Technology’s track record in all other industries. Using AI in medical contexts is quite frightening to me. I don’t think we think it through at the pace it moves.

I think for some of us they literally don’t even bite anymore. They certainly have preferences in blood type. I also have super visible veins as a relatively thin athletic person, yet they just seem to have no interest in what’s on the menu

Twitter is the homeless encampment of social networks. Sometimes I’ll click the wrong link and end up there. It’s uncomfortable.. lots of people screaming and spreading their excrement around.. I just avoid eye contact, keep quiet and close

The mainstreaming of remote work is going to ruin all the fun for people like me who have been doing it for decades. Should’ve seen this coming. My reaction is going to be to start my own company I guess.

Cycling and other forms of cardio can be done well into old age. Sure I’ll eventually be forced to wind down, but that doesn’t seem relevant to whether I do lots of cardio at my current age.

Depression runs in my family but daily exercise completely reverses it. I’m referring to 60m+ of cardio average per day. Anytime I go more than 2 days without exercise, I’m immediately under a dark cloud. I’ve heard plenty of people say it
