Grading the homework is not the same thing as providing feedback. A big red X tells you that something is wrong, but not what you can do to fix the problem or even why that thing is wrong.

I built a little toy that watches for node changes in k8s and adds them to haproxy load balancer. Mostly because I wanted ipv6 and digital ocean didn't have a load balancer that supported it. https://github.com/The-Next

I wonder what the limits of this are? From a naive point of view there has to be a point where training/skill/physical endurance/etc. come into play. The bed experiment seems to fit a fixed rate, assembly line style of work.

Not everyone can use them. I have sinus allergies and astigmatism. The combination makes it hard to fit me with lenses that actually correct my vision well enough to be useful and makes those lenses very uncomfortable almost immediately.

I wonder if this was partly an inspiration for https://montypython.fandom.com/wiki/The_Cycling_Tour The strange/innocuous notes mentioned reminded me of some of the dialog. It probably is completely unrelated tho

There are a few languages I won't touch without an IDE: Java and C#. For Java I use IntelliJ and I don't write C# at all anymore. Otherwise, I use Vim. VSCode is a complete non-starter for me. I glanced at it a long while back and

I've actually done this before with Ansible, but it still required a bootstrapping script. Basically it installs homebrew, then Ansbile, asks a few setup questions, clones a git repo with the rest of the setup process, and then kicks o

I've never regretted the time I took to learn PHP. No matter how bad the language may seem, it paid my bills for a long while. It's one those tools that to keep in your back pocket until you need. Keep in mind what it's good

Another point here is that python is still commonly a python 2.7 on a lot of deployed systems. It's going to be years before it's safe to assume that python is anything else... (Ubuntu LTSs and macOs are an example ...)
