This was an interesting read. It is pretty crazy, and easy to parallel to something like Youtube, how the Manwin empire is built on linking to work that someone else produced and using the ad money to buy the creators of that work out. I wo

My approach, in any language, would be to collect it in an array and sum (or concatenate) it at once. var values = []; values.push(phraseValue( result, queryData )); ... var value = values.reduce(function(prev, next) { ret

Im using Tornado now for a personal project and I find that the async decorators makes things a breeze. Go seems really attractive when it comes to concurrency/async things. I'll probably move there if I ever do make a move.

I'm heavy in the Gremlin camp as it can be used across graph db technologies. Any thoughts on how it compares to Cypher? I haven't played with Cyper since I do most of my querying via Rexster.

Interesting twist in this article. I've seen a lot of praise for his writing style (inverted pyramid) on HN, but that Google portion came out of nowhere. He is understandably upset that Apple is slowing down progress, but doesn't

I was messing around with this the other day and I had a video playing on my computer. It showed up on the iPad pixelated like when tv censors nudity, pointer tracking seemed pretty fluid even with that playing. What would be nice is a dire

The source code is beautiful. Code can be art when you know what you're looking at/looking for, kinda like real art. (I don't like his if/else blocks though)

Call me strange, but I prefer the old maximize. It only took up what space was needed for the window to not scroll horizontally, but did a full vertical. This had a few advantages for me: 1. I can see, and interact with, all of the other wi

"Android is Android" I don't like the fact that Google's apps, all of them, feel foreign on iOS and OSX. Chrome has its own PDF renderer, settings pane, maximize behavior (before Yosemite), other little things. The iOS a

I'm not a Chrome-by-default user. But when it is closed and I drag a link to its icon, it is very infuriating that it just doesn't open the link that I asked it to, but whatever else it felt like opening alongside it.
