Ivys have really generous financial aid across all income brackets in my experience. Came from a family that didn’t qualify for complete financial aid ($125k household income). My brother at Princeton pays very little out of pocket, maybe $

At least in my experience, these aren’t diminishing (or at minimum, highly available). Every week I - play board games at a brewery - climb at a local climbing gym - play soccer on a public field - (usually) watch sports at a local bar Ther

TFA does not suggest that. Even if a coin is biased towards the side it started on, this wouldn’t carry over from one flip to the next. It would be important to start the flip on the same side, but that’s doesn’t make the second flip depend

Feels like you're moving the goalposts. Article doesn't mention anything about monitoring the screen remotely. You could rephrase it as "if you hire a consultant with the expectation that they will attend in person 3 days a w

I mean, not to be morbid, it's hard for me to imagine doing anything but the "easy way out" (suicide of some form) if society does collapse in my lifetime. My thoughts are based on two points: (1) Much of the richness of my l

Not to get too nitpicky, but the pitch clock actually came into effect in the majors in February 2023 (spring training) or March 2023 (regular season). It debuted much earlier in minor (2015), fall (2014), and college (2010) leagues. [1] h

I don't really buy that- if every pitcher is 50% better, a pitcher still gets an advantage from speed/motion. Even if that advantage is lessened, players are still going to eke out every bit of performance that they can. IMO the r

This has really impacted my enjoyment of baseball. It feels really hard to get invested in a pitcher when you know there is a large chance he’s just gone for a year+. Not sure what the solution is here

Yea Atlanta parking enforcement sucks. At least as of a few years ago it was outsourced to a private company(/companies) and they are very trigger happy. Had two tickets assessed incorrectly

I don't really feel like Bronny James's story is relevant here- this was due to poor weather conditions, not any type of cardiac issue or lack of screening.

I tried to get into it recently and found the cost prohibitively expensive to play casually. Contrast with Pickleball- for $100 I have a racket and balls and can play on courts, if I pay $300 I can play almost anywhere, and that is the life

Some neighborhoods are harder than others, but I have found the subway + bus service + regional rail makes it possible to get ~anywhere~ in an hour from where I live. And those neighborhoods are the exception for me, at least, 99% of my tri

I live car-free in NYC. A large appeal of NYC to me was not having to park. I don't ~mind~ driving, but I absolutely hated having to deal with finding parking when I lived in other cities. Parking generally makes me feel stressed (comp
