I lost my hope on ipv6, don't think it will ever catch on. We might end up with something else but not ipv6. Anyone else feels the same about it?

I don't think there were decent alternatives back then. Also, their business model has been based on web advertisement. It's a valid point that GitHub has a solid model and might not need to do shady stuff in the long run.

Is it really that good? My only test case has been a VMWare virtual machine, mounting an nfs share from the host so I could work on my local filesystem and execute within the VM. Switched to a filesystem wather + rsync combo after strugglin

Well it says "Move to ARC" so that narrows down the scope.

One advantage on mobile is that iPhone does not play inline video. So, if you want to have a small tutorial snippet you can play it within the page. Videos will go fullscreen.

For me the single biggest disadvantage of Go against Node.JS is the lack of a decent dependency management solution. NPM is awesome and Go doesn't even have a "meh" answer to that.

It's such a bad fuck up that it would justify someone pulling power cables from all iTunes Connect servers to disable access.

You could always send information using javascript by loading images, hidden iframes etc. (You would not get a meaningful response though). This applies to dark old days even before JS..

Who said anything about scaling? I run simple low utilization services on a replica set because of high availability. Replication only provides secondary reads in terms of scaling and that's not the point. Actual scaling comes from sha

Yeah.. which takes 25 people and 45 days to set up /s Mongodb literally has a 1-line command to add a replica set member and it works. This is still a huge advantage.

So, nothing to back that claim. No data or announcement from Facebook. Just a remark about external web links being shit on mobile and that's it. Not even a decent argument there. It's like saying elephants will grow tall necks in

Smart watches can be valuable for things like this I guess. Something like having an app on iPhone monitoring the mic, showing a gauge or vibrating at a threshold on the Apple Watch (might be easier on Android). Would be useful feedback. Ar

Does it really matter? You should be able to get millions of rotations from a single centimetre hole, given that the mass is large enough and you have a good gear ratio..

You are right, it's just a weak secondary measure but it does not really make it any more complex for the developer while causing some headache to the attacker :) In any case, one can seed the hashes table with a couple billion random

Same here, we use MongoDB with 3 member replica sets even for small deployments. It's easy, built in, works fine with all official drivers. I'd love to use PostgreSQL but we don't have resources to manage a decent replica set
