When someone dies, people usually add a little warmth to any description of them. And that's the way it should be. Respect.

Accounting aside, just wanted to mention that most of these barriers are whether you have a US-residence credit card, or bank account, not so much about where you or the company actually live. Not sure it's worth incorporating a company (

I posted your question at http://www.ask500people.com/questions/which-logo-do-you-pref... It will get a few votes over the next while, but if it gathers enough up-votes (sort of like digg, but for polls) from the community within 24 hours

I think the issue is you're mixing the fact that the company/software was commercially successful with whether or not it was great software.

Hey pepeto, Taking a long term perspective, it can only go uphill from here. If you do take a job, try to get one that's either brain-work and pays well (build up reserves) OR physical and not brain-work (work on your startup ideas at nigh

TipJoy is very cool. It's one of those "far out" ideas that might not work, but it's New Thinking and we don't have enough of that. I wish them success.

"copying the Y Combinator site without making silly mistakes." Copying is great. Cost: cheap Copying and visually cloning something successful while insulting the original site while quoting friends of the original site? Priceless.

We're distributed and for the most part it works fine. We get together once a year at SXSW to work/learn/party. Right now we're at most 5 hours apart in time, which isn't bad, but when we tried going fully "global" by trying to hire someon

There's an upside and a downside to this possible merger that isn't mentioned much in the press, which would affect us little guys. It seems that many people inside these companies on both sides would bail if this happened, and the best
