The GCloud and the Razer Edge are both significantly more expensive than the PS Portal if I recall correctly though. The Abxylute does seem similar in price, although I'm guessing the PS Portal likely has better controls (being essenti

If running a moonlight client on one becomes possible, I might be actually interested in buying one, just for casual gaming at home. The Steam Deck looks great but is pretty expensive and a little overkill when I could just stream from my d

The streamers and viewers that will be affected by this are Twitch users, not Amazon users, so of course it makes sense that this is Twitch announcing it to their userbase and not Amazon.

Part of why I like CS so much vs modern 'live service' games is that I can play whenever I feel like it and I never feel like I'm missing out on something happening, and when I come back after not playing for weeks or months,

I don't think you can dismiss 1.8 million concurrent players on CS:GO back in May of this year as just "peer pressure or nostalgia". Plenty of people obviously still find it extremely fun, myself included.

Cobbled together or not, the app is functional, has an awesome UI and I love that I don't have to leave the app to actually read articles. Awesome work!

Been using Harmonic daily for a few years now and I love it so much, it's an incredibly well made app. Thanks for making it, awesome that it's open source now as well!

Looks like this site just scraped a Fox Business article and edited it to misspell the hacker's name and swap the pronouns used in the article? Not really sure what the point of any of that would be but the original article is here: h

I'm not sure I really understand what the purpose of Passage's product is - doesn't webauthn already do what they're doing? It looks like they're using webauthn too, so is this just a wrapper around it?

It's the market that's unhealthy. Samsung and Apple are really the only big players at this point - Sony has sub 1% market share, Asus likely even less. OnePlus is owned by OPPO and together they have about 9% market share. Samsun

Indeed. I'm a staunch Android user, but I seriously envy iPhone users for the Apple Watch. Nobody else has put the same level of care and resources into their smartwatch and if it wasn't for a myriad of personal dealbreakers I hav

Exactly. While Apple's special tools might be the best ones to use, It really seems like a way for Apple to frame stuff like iFixit tools in a bad light. Suddenly hair dryers and microwave beanbags are only for hackjob poor quality rep

This is frankly an astounding take - People like Louis are actively trying to increase the longevity of Apple products with stuff like right to repair. Louis points out issues with Apple products and somehow he's a bad guy for that? In

I find it hard to believe that BAYC is successful because of the art, personally I think they're rather ugly and I know that a lot of people would feel the same. I think a more likely reason for their success is that they're an ea

A more practical and commonly used solution would be to use a cheap laptop to remote into a desktop computer. I've known people who've used chromebooks for this exact purpose.

The defeatist mentality from my perspective is arguing that we shouldn't try to make locked down stuff less locked down. And in many cases, you don't have a choice to use Signal or etc. What if all your contacts are using iMessage

There's a lot more than just free apps to consider in this scenario. Paid apps will have to be re-purchased, your Airpods won't work as well, your Apple Watch won't work at all with Android, you won't be able to message

Indeed, after pacman and yay I'm never going back to Debian-based systems for personal use. The Arch User Repository is so much more hassle-free than trying to install stuff on Debian from 3rd-party repos.

Toyota owns 20% of Subaru, and Subaru is also invested in Toyota. From what I understand being an affiliate in the Toyota Group is not remotely the same as them being a sub brand of Toyota.
