Are you implying that ADHD is not a real condition? If so, what makes you think this is the case?

I now see that we're not really talking about alerts in the 'alert()' sense, but rather about the popups - which are not native widgets (which are better off non-modifiable, in my opinion). My bad. Do you know of any good rea

Unless it is demonstrated to have some predictive power, it isn't certain at all. Additionally, the added (relative) complexity doesn't imply anything about its qualities.

Agreed - this is why I asked whether there is any proof of its alleged predictive power. Without this, I don't think it's reasonable to assume that it is in fact predictive.

While I'm not a huge fan of Myers-Briggs (or rather, how it's used), that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that the fact that some people are using it for some purpose doesn't mean that it's actually usef

The fact that (some) companies may use it to test if a person is fit for certain tasks doesn't mean that it really indicates whether a person is fit for certain tasks.

Dropout can certainly be applied generally - it's useful as a regularization technique (especially in wide and deep networks) to combat overfitting in other fields than computer vision. CNNs can be used in other fields as well.

Hah! I got the gist of it, dear svenskejævel, but I mistook your sarcasm for bona fide paranoia ;) As for intra-Scandinavian relations: I think we can all agree that the Danes are the worst of us - and their language is just ridiculous [1].

I think you mean Second Variety [1], which is really great in my opinion as well. It, like many of PKD's works, was also made into a movie (Screamers). Second Variety is freely available [2] on the Internet Archive, via Project Gutenbe
