It has gotten absolutely out of control. I will be reading an article about a new game, and the article won't even have a link to the store page to buy the game...

Before a model is announced, they use codenames on the arenas. If you look online, you can see people posting about new secret models and people trying to guess whose model it is.

Analogies are just that, they are meant to put things in perspective. Obviously the LLM doesn't have "senses" in the human way, and it doesn't "see" words, but the point is that the LLM perceives (or whatever o

And I don't think it makes sense for the SSO provider to leak a list of all your accounts to the website either. That being said, I think the SSO provider could maybe track that information maybe?

Maybe just my biased brain, but the title made it sound like they were half a million under, not over. In some way, this is how 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles will never be exactly 1000 pieces. As long as there's at least 1000, I think most

Not extreme at all, A lot of people use the cheapest smallest VPS for their hobby work. I know I do (albeit not AWS). Thanks for sharing, hope they improve the automatic detection there.

I agree that limitation does lead to some creativity, but I wouldn't say lack of limitation means no creativity. Saying prompts have no creativity is like saying books or scripts have no creativity compared to a movie. Not only that, t

They put anything that makes sense. I don't know if including random movies makes sense. They got Youtube Premium which is like 15$. 30TB of storage, a bit excessive and no equivalent but 20TB is around 100$ a month.

There's now a thing called "FSD", yes. But it's not FSD as in Full Self-Driving, as in L4. It's still an L3, the driver still needs to be at the wheel and paying attention. "Full Self Driving" implies L4.

As bad as Netflix is, honestly the UX is the best amongst major streaming services. For me, the cardinal sin of a streaming service is, if I open your service every single day and watch the next episode of ONE show, then the next time I ope

I guess the bigger question for me is, how was a 10% drop in Python performance not detected when that faulty compiler feature was pushed? Do we not benchmark the compilers themselves? Do the existing benchmarks on the compiler or python si

In some way, by indirectly helping fix this bug, they led to a ~10% performance increase for everyone who was using that faulty compiler! That's even better than an optional flag that many people won't know about or use.

I was almost exactly in the same situation as you. In my 20s, I remember using OKCupid, but the OKCupid I found when I tried again in my 30s was very different (it is owned by Match afterall). All the apps were very similar, and the only ch

I feel like these comments complaining about modern screen sizes don't consider that Bezels have shrunk a ton since. Both SE 2020 and 2022 had a body size of 138.4mm x 67.3mm, which gives a diagonal of 153.9mm or 6.1 inches. The new iP

That's rural life. I'm downtown in one a big Canadian city, and the best I can get is 400 down and 10 up for ~100$/month. You're getting better up than me, and I'm literally at the core of a major city.

I also had an issue that restarted my computer and found the hard way it doesn't save. Using localStorage to store the state is simple enough, unfortunate that it doesn't.
