I find it useful for trying new languages. The first 10 days usually start very easily and progress quite gradually. The 2nd half definitely gets more brutal, but if you do have the self-control, you can stop whenever it stops being product

To be fair, from what I can tell ThinkPad X230 is from 2012, which is over a decade ago, and my guess is that this practice was not yet common place.

I'm curious what people think, but while obviously CrowdStrike caused the breakage, does the Operating System not have some responsibility in not allowing such outages to happen? Especially if it's an enterprise product? Ideas: 1.

Basically, code reviews also happen to find a lot of other non-bug stuff (probably nits and style issues). That's why looking at % is dangerous. You could be finding 5 bugs per code review, which is a lot, but if you also make 30 other

AFAIK the mobile versions are different, since the whole UX is designed for touch control and small screens. It's not full featured, there's a bunch of stuff that you can't do, or are very hard to reach, but that's the l

Right. With something like software, if you get 1% efficiency, you can update most existing devices and that has a huge impact. With this, I feel like it would be far better to focus instead on lowering manufacturing costs and developing te

It just fits my mental model much better. It's close to a "remote desktop" where you connect to an existing "screen" and continue where you left off, vs each time you connect, a brand new "screen" being cr
