Well, a similar burning of the Torah was stopped in Sweden before. I am not sure what makes that different than burning the Quran re: free speech, but now Sweden has approved for a 50-year-old woman to burn the Torah outside the Israeli emb

Thanks for that link. Very interesting. The role of social media in making patients an "epistemic authority" and reversing the normal arrow or flow from doctors and scientists. I like that "long haulers" came from a pati

I was a vegetarian while living in Macau, China for over 6 years and a year in Indonesia as well as when I came back to the US, so for about 8 years actually. It was very hard to avoid "vegetarian" meals with animal broth in them.

Wow, thanks for sharing that. So far so good for me. I mainly eat beef with very little chicken if any. My blood work is good at the present. I try and buy a high-fat steak or the 80/20 ground beef. The butcher told me they can't

If you are in engineering or physics in the US, you use metric. There are some beautiful conversions too: 1 m^3 of water is 1000 kg or 1 metric ton. It is also 1000 liters of water. Wait until you run into the Imperial system's slug, a

To be fair, I started programming back in 1978 with Commodore PET 2001 and went into C and assembly (6502) after that. I then picked up Pascal. Then J and APL after that. While trying Rust for the first time, nailing some of the concepts an
