In general, I had a good experiences. There are a few annoying things, however: my Estonian bank (VUB) discriminates against non-Estonian customers (even if they are EU citizens/residents) by applying a foreigners fee. Also, the local

Rust/WinRT has really triggered my interest. For someone who hasn't been following Windows development for more than almost two decades, what's a good read to understand the different models of app creation and distribution?

I've started using the web-view project ( https://github.com/Boscop/web-view ), with good results. Instead of embedding a browser, it uses the system's webview (Safari on macOS, gtk-webkit2 on Linux and Edge on

Microsoft has already updated Window's native web-view to Edge, from IE. There are already some projects that take advantage of this and enable multi-platform app creation, with executables much lighter than Electron. A good example is

There is nothing wrong. Before, you only had to care about your app running on a VGA monitor. Now, you have the possibility to make it run on devices of all sizes, resolutions and shapes.

I've used sql.js ( https://github.com/kripken/sql.js ) which is SQLite compiled to WASM. It works pretty well, for some use cases.

Isn't it risky to promise that the app will be published in the App Store and Google Play, when that is really up to a third party to decide?

Technically, there is no VAT in the US. There is sales tax, and it can vary from city to city. I guess that is why it is not included in the price by default.

Spain, as a prosperous and modern democracy, is relatively young. Before that there was plenty of feudalism, wars, civil war, dictatorship, and hunger.

Doing it at the state level would only protect the consumers in that state, but not the producers. As a producer, your content could still be throttled in states where there are no neutrality laws.

What I find disappointing is that Apple is leveling the field against independent developers. Was there really a need for an official measurement app, to destroy the market of the ones that are already on the app store? What's the deal
