I think because one day everyone woke up and heard about PRISM, including a lot of the tech companies, which had to go into damage control to deny their involvement. It was big news with brands that every American was familiar with.

Not listening to farmers is how elections are lost. Even so, agriculture creates a huge number of jobs in and adjacent to the agriculture industry. You might solve one problem, but you will have a new one too.

I think the point here is caste is something different than the other categories. Caste doesn't discriminate gender, religon etc. In the indian caste system you can be a woman, a Christian, etc and still not escape it. It is a layer on

I don't know about ROS2, but ROS is pretty good for prototyping things. Maybe not what you want for shipping a product, but it is highly productive as a platform. Lots of companies use it.

By the definition, software isn't an economy of scale. Unit cost doesn't decrease by magnitude as output increases. A utility company is an example of economy of scale.
