Why do you say that? It extracts the bits using doubleToRawLongBits which does not do NaN canonicalization by design. And it gets back to a double with longBitsToDouble which "returns the double floating-point value with the same bit

The use of fiat currency is usually enforced for debts. This doesn't apply to a cash purchase in a shop, but credit card purchases and most B2B transactions (with invoicing or a credit card) involve creating a debt.
