Both sides? Do you make the same argument for hearing from literal Nazis? You just need to weigh the arguments for and against the final solution? I'm not directly calling Libertarians Nazis but the analogy holds, I find very little of

You're right, the better solution is use taxpayer to bail out shitty companies that can't survive temporary economic slowdowns.

I don't understand. I agree. What is your point? We're talking about why people may not be interested in moving to the Bay Area...

So the capitalists that get massively rewarded for taking risks now get bailed out when those risks turned out bad? Sounds like BS to me.

They should have had an emergency fund of 6 Months of expenses for emergencies. Maybe they should stop eating so much avocado toast.

>SF and NYC are not the only tech hubs in the US. Also confused. I agree with your point. My comment was responding to a person who couldn't imagine people who wouldn't move to SFBay for a FAANG level salary/job.

"Learn to program" People are still repeating this meme? But seriously while Uber and other companies are laying off thousands it's probably one of the worst times to try to enter the market as a new SWE.

Yeah and how'd the Heat do the year after Lebron went back to Cleveland? Spoiler: after just making a trip to the finals the previous season they had a losing record and didn't even make the playoffs So to recap: Miami with Lebron

This comment is laughable. They swept Cleveland in the first round and took NY to 7 Games and the Knicks then took the Rockets to 7 Games in the Finals.

Because the Grandfather comment was about classifying Uber as an essential service when it's clearly not as demonstrated by yours and other comments. Using Uber a few times a month for extenuating circumstances is really not Essential.

So a luxury that you can normally get by without? You seem to be strengthening my argument that it's not essential. I think my point is being missed though and that is that using Uber as your daily commute is certainly not cheaper than
