Most people I know who talk about astrology and crystals just use it as a common fun language to talk about personal energy & social dynamics. Nobody is like, taking it to be the truth. It's just fun to call your friend "such

Prions don't synthesize themselves, they just self-assemble. RNA can encode it's own information while also catalyzing self-replication.

The user takes total responsibility for the address he or she types in the navigation bar. They navigate there from an infinite distance.

Cool, because I'm trying to plan for humanity's distant future, not just 50-100 years from now.

Please don't tell me to consider suicide for myself. I do contemplate it a lot, I'm not very happy on this planet. I won't reproduce though; ain't no thang.

I think if only 1% of the global population reproduced for a few generations it would be way more effective than tree planting. It seems like all the environmental "fixes" are external, and not related to our replication rate.

As with every resource-depletion issue like this, the obvious answer is to reduce the number of humans. Consider never reproducing instead of trying to think of some clever technological solution.

Have you tried LSD or DMT? What about the sparkles behind your eyes from rhodopsin channels?

Have you tried LSD or DMT? And what about when you pull up to do a skateboard trick or something? Can't you visualize yourself doing the trick? Or what about sexual fantasies? I feel like you're being stubborn.

Maybe you're expecting too much from visualization. Obviously people aren't "seeing" anything. What happens if you try to conceptualize a pyramid from one angle, then conceptualize it from that angle +10˚, then + 10˚, ..

Are you sure you don't just have low-level visualization skills? I think it's like a skill that you must practice. I spend about 30 minutes before bed imagining various 3D shapes on a stage and rotating them. This exercise improve

Why do people want so much? I love minimalism, owning hardly nothing, saving, having no friends or acquaintances. After reading this thread I feel like everybody else is greedy.

Are you crazy? Increasing the number of humans on the planet is the number one thing you can do to worsen climate change. You forget that we are nothing but an organism, we all produce waste and contribute hardly nothing beneficial to the e

Forget your feelings and stick to the key question - does the world need more people, less people, or do we have exactly the right amount? I think we have too many, practically every day I see people in my own city that I will never see aga

Seriously. The only reason I could justify having kids would be if I looked around, thought to myself "gee, there seems to be a shortage of people", and then I would replicate. Justifying replication for the sake of one's hap

They are probably including their self in the question they pose. Why do you think that the individual who suggests an idea has to perfectly embody it, else be a hypocrite?
