Concerns of RussiaToday are warranted but in this case they are just parroting NPR [1] who in turn are repeating a story by The Salt Lake Tribune [2] (but NPR actually bothered to credit them). 1. http://www.npr.org/blogs&#x

I'm confused too. The blog post mentions violence against women and sexual-violence several times. The cached page is unreachable for me but I suspect a "seduction guide" doesn't advocate hitting women. Seduction guid

You'd need a 2-3 order of magnitude increase in storage density to get anywhere near reasonable. I suspect that's not going to happen in 10 years but I don't know the current and projected rates of storage density increases.

A yottabyte would take 3.333×10^11 3 terabyte hard disks. A 3.5 inch hard disk has a volume of 376.77344 cm³. The NSA buildings in Bluffdale take up around 1.5 million square feet. That means just the hard discs for a yottabyte would be

Nothing you're saying is based on anything but speculation. Babel (most likely called Hangouts) is real, yes, but that's about all we know about it.

Yeah, Walter did end up opening up the backend to DMD but the backend is still not Free Software only because Walter is licensing it from Symantec. He accepts patches to fix problems in it but it is less than ideal. The frontend is GPL and

I'm curious what the "few other things" are because the things you mention specifically are a few years out of date at this point. I'm not sure what licensing issues you've had but phobos is Boost licensed which is extremely liberal (basic

I remember at the last Google I/O the Chrome team said they were working on a more granular permissions system and recognized how scary "Access your data on all websites" was. Not sure when that's supposed to debut though.

On Android it turns on the GPS once every 30 minutes to update your location. If another app turns on the GPS it'll take the opportunity and update then and reset the 30 minute timer. When I got Android 4.1 with Google Now my battery life

SSN data isn't flawless. My brother and I somehow had the same SSN until I was in my teens (right as I started working but before he did so thankfully it wasn't too difficult to fix).

I don't believe you even need to root to sideload Google Wallet. I installed and regularly use Google Wallet on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I'm running the Bugless Beast ROM which comes rooted but I don't think I needed to be rooted to do it.
