Cracked me up the other day when Ubuntu in WSL2 told me that I needed to install Firefox via Snap if I wanted to use it, but Snap doesn’t work in WSL2 because systemd isn’t being used.

Seems not very coincidental that this happens right after the new iPhone in the US went eSIM only, which means you now have to talk to your carrier to change phones instead of just moving your SIM over. (Unless this doesn't count if yo

They tried that at one point, I think it was called WebSQL? But it was decided that they didn’t want to make the quirks of sqlite3 a web standard since it’d be hard to do a clean room implementation.

It’s supposed to work (like, it’s an option in Rider’s project selection), but it can’t find MSBuild in the WSL. I’m guessing you’d have better luck if you just spun up a normal Linux VM though.

Shoot, I’ve seen it crash if you happen to have thousands of commits in the last month or two. Usually a refresh or two will make it slowly work, presumptively once the cache is warm.

UTM on iOS doesn’t have access to the virtualization extensions on the M1 chip (you need a private entitlement, ergo, a jailbreak). Without them, VMs will be painfully slow.
