Red Hat. You'll work on open source stuff all the time, in systems, infrastructure (Openstack), kernel development (Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS), cloud stuff (Satellite, Foreman, Katello, Openshift), or even programming languages (JRuby).

It sounds like it's a lightweight version of the Foreman [1] with less integrations for virtual servers and configuration management? In any case I starred it to keep track of future updates... Just as a curiosity, CERN uses something

You could argue the same about Youtube, in some sense. They do pay royalties to some artists, and at least for a while a lot of upcoming artists were advertising their new albums there. I discovered a bunch of great groups through that. Unr

I arrived at CERN when the decisions about this were made already, so I'm mostly involved with the actual implementation. I would say that the main reason is that a lot of experiments (not just the higgs boson search) are going on here rig

It's funny you mention this when a lot of these cables show how the US government was pressuring the Spanish government to join NATO and more recently to legislate in favor of the American media lobby. Obviously it's both parties fault, but

In my experience, you pretty much learn this on the fly. You don't know how to do X, you google it, if you do X often enough, you'll eventually learn. After a while you end up mastering most of the unix suite (ls, grep, awk, du, etc..) so i
