I would suspect there were likely copies of the old code. If you are sufficiently affected by the change, perhaps you would be well-served to track one down and maintain a fork?

The way I read his argument was- "It is ironic that the US is concerned about the patents. Patents only have weight because governments give them weight - They could declare the patents public domain at any time."

I'm just curious if sales figures have been announced, or why you're saying it's not selling well?

The way I read it is that they’ll first ban plastic straws at sit down places, then charge extra for plastic straws for takeout, then ban plastic straws for takeout as well as sit down dining.

The EFF received quite a few bitcoins early on, which it redistributed. On the one hand, they'd be worth quite a bit today. On the other, without ways of getting more people interested in bitcoin, they might have just stayed an intere

Your argument seems to imply that people thoroughly read the TOS for every website they use. Even if you do that, most people don’t, regardless of country. “Disclosing” things by putting them in the middle of a document that people don’t re

I buy Audible credits, which come out to ~10/book. I don't see an option for them on the non-logged in page, but I buy a set of them, and then can use them how I want, not per month. While the Netflix model is nice for residual co

Not OP, but I personally was pretty heavily affected - I run Robohash.org, which runs off a bunch of Digital Ocean droplets. I needed to fire up ~ 30% additional nodes after they did their migration. I didn't measure as carefully as I

I've heard that they have a patent cross license agreement, which is why AMD can use x86 and Intel can use AMD64, but I hadn't heard about the ownership. I don't see Intel listed at http://www.nasdaq.com/symbo

Part of what I find frustrating as a user is that I don't like ANY of those features :) While I'd prefer a model without any advertising (and am willing to pay for it), I can put up with unobtrustive ads, without tracking, like Da

I’m interested in one as a new speaker. I don’t expect I’ll enable Siri. I want to use it as an AirPlay target. I was previously considering a Sonos, but the Airplay2 support will be baked into the OS so I don’t need to use a clunky 3rd par
