That was a fantastic read. This is indeed old news in terms of technology choices, but it was great to hear how they rolled the product out. I almost didn't read this article due to the "isn't this a bit old" comments here, but, am very gl

I agree, it is terrorism. Terrorism of my senses and my brain cells. It's simply a new addictive format, like TV was when it first became mainstream. I've almost lost my wife to Facebook, and all my friends ask me for my Twitter name, eve

Someone needs to start an Education suite of tools for the IPad. I would love to pass my kids an IPad and let them go at it.

Yeah, I had the same question. The PHP syntax definitely puts me off. That said, it's just the front-end. Might as well keep on keepin' on with what you're using, and since it's open source, just rewrite the thing. Deep down inside I wis

6 months? That's pretty lame, and I'd be a bit peeved as well. Having to go through that entire process of re-registering, etc, just to get an account back and admin'ing that group? I'm glad this isn't a global policy on email addresses

I read about this when it happened, and this post was extremely eloquent and thoughtful. Tom, I'd be happy to join you in whipping some Korean butt come Starcraft 2 launch. Even if you don't take my offer up, know that I'm going to think o

Yeah, the cold feet things is a bummer. I bought some Injinji socks (that Vibram sells), and it fixed the problem. I'm a barefoot runner anyhow, so Vibrams were a natural fit (pun not-intended).

I had bad RSI, then took a couple weeks, and switched to Dvorak (it took a bit longer to get proficient in Vim again though). Anyhow, RSI problems were gone, and never returned. So, regardless of any debunking myths, it prevented my pain f

I find it very helpful to start with a blank color file, and build from there. I've been using my own personal file for quite a while now, and it consists of about 3 colors, and some highlights. I like the simplicity of it, as a lot of th
