"...and honestly sounds like someone trying to justify their decision to not own property." The author literally states that they are a homeowner themselves.

‘We are not done developing antibiotics, forever’ This is under the assumption that we won’t find something better/works differently than antibiotics. Some are theorizing that CRISPR-based approaches could potentially disrupt it and ba

I think what the parent is saying is that with a basic income only for researchers that creates a scenario where ‘Well you need to ensure there's nobody just completely gaming the system and so inextricably you'll end up with some

Happy they like it :) Spritebox is geared for ages 7+, but, like Lightbot, assumes no prior experience with coding.

For any kids who enjoyed that Google Doodle I’d recommend taking a look at Lightbot[0] and Spritebox[1]; similar experiences for playing with programming logic. Full disclosure: I’m the developer on these, but believe they’re relevant here

After seeing this, it completely discredits all of the 'scholarship' part of the author's post. Looks like the author should do his research first.

TL;DR: it may (or may not) be due to the formation and/or contraction of a bubble of gas that forms in the joints: The verdict is still out.

Looks like a cool project! Only quickly glanced at the code but couldn’t find it: where does this transfer files to on an iOS device? Does it even work with iOS?

Thanks for pointing that out- I did initially miss that point. Let's see if Liu sticks to that plan.

Unless airtable becomes its own thing worth a multiple of 50M $... they’ll prob need to sell. It just doesn’t seem like an IPOable business to me.

I hate to burst your bubble- but taking on investments like this probably indicates they’ll be looking for a buy out/sell out eventually

Another article points to the fact that they also play the scarcity card and limit the supply per year. 574 bars, at $300 a piece actually limits their profits significantly (even if they do manage to sell all 574, after marketing and expen

Moreover, you could also allow for something like passing a structure of parameters. clamp({min:2, max:5, x:3}) ^parameters can be rearranged as you see fit There! Now the programmer can decide what’s the way they want to call the function

Some languages let you spell out the arguments upon calling a function. clamp(x:3, min:1, max:5) Oh look! No mental strain required to think about what the function does nor what the order should be to minimize mistakes; it’s clear as day!

I didn't downvote you, but MM in Roman numerals is million. It is also common enough to represent roman numerals in lowercase that mm, as used here, is totally valid.

Now I’m curious.. is the EU deliberately targeting US companies or are US companies just more prone to adopting antitrust (by EU standards) practices? Has the EU cracked down on many non-US companies?

As the parent mentions, you're looking specifically for ways to write 'maintainable code'- that's the terminology you should be searching for, not well-structured code.
