You're taking my argument to a ridiculous extreme, nowhere did I extend it to ridding self of human dependence. It looks like you are simply content to keep pushing an ideology instead of replying to what's being said.

> They want complete 100% control over all of their time. Which would be really nice, but c'mon now. I think you may be under-valuing how much some people like to be in control of what they put their time towards. These are the peop

I was curious what the 125,000/mo referred to: it's their gross sales on trip bookings, not their actual final cut. The author doesn't delve into margins (that said, not trying to downplay the accomplishment in any way).

Cheaper? I also don't know if that's necessarily true. If it's ineffective for many, is it a cheaper solution or just simply cheaper ? Personally, I think Khan Academy is one of the few forward-thinking organizations doing

I think that your method for teaching data structures wouldn't work in practice. I don't think many students can arrive at such data structures on their own. How many students can you expect to come up with the implementation for

No I'm talking about a lack of language constructs that make composition a pain and inheritance a quick fix: forwarding. Inheritance is often used improperly because writing forwarding methods to delegates is a pain. IS-A/HAS-A go

None of those things are necessarily fundamental notions in OOP so much as they are core constructs in many OOP languages. It's quite trivial to find multiple examples for why inheritance causes far more problems in many cases than whe

tl;dr: TDD is not, on its own, effective. If code is highly coupled, tests become highly coupled and a nightmare. The author advocates that learning to properly refactor and create low-coupled code should be a first priority ahead of follow

I think this question can be best answered by first looking at what research tells us about learning (otherwise your question attracts only anecdotal responses which will be less universally applicable). Here's what research says, foll

I imagine that Apple doesn't think all of their users are "Pro" or want to be lumped in a "Pro" category, nor want to use their phones for purely "Pro" purposes. I would bet good money that Apple will defi
