I signed up for this last weekend, and had great followups with Harry Zhang, one of the co-founders. Super impressed with the customer service / support.

Yes, with heavily customized UIs. Rather distinct from the standard Android experience. Personally, I find it annoying, and it doesn't add that much value for me. I liken it to the bloatware installed on Windows machines in the past.

What does deployment look like on the device? If you like in the libraries, wouldn't your packaged app be significantly large?

I really like this. Makes explaining things very easy. One critique, the first step allows me to click on the main screen to advance, but from there I have to move to the navigation bar below. Is this configurable? I only went through t

Impressive growth, albeit through less than amazing means. Instagram grew, but didn't require viewers to have any account or attachment to the platform / application. Socialcam / Viddy both grow _truly_ virally through Facebook in that it

Can you expand on that? I've been interested in that market but don't know where to get involved. I'd love to hear your thoughts - even if in an email.

I don't think that is the authors point. I think the point is that the _majority_ of startups you see on the coasts wouldn't _likely_ succeed or originate in places like Chicago, Omaha, Kansas City, Minneapolis because people are less open

There isn't a really strong comparison though. I think it would be quite rare for you to find a farmer that raised capital and just struck out on their own without knowing _exactly_ what they needed to do to reach profitability - nor would

As a Nebraskan, I resonated with this - big time. My first question is _always_: "How does it make money?", and I've shied away from ideas that had no clear money-making potential. It is likely the predominant 'agricultural' culture.

I think the benefit of something like Bootstrap is getting an idea off the floor with _some_ nod towards aesthtics. If I can't afford a designer, I'm happy to use someones idea of a 'default' to get it to the point that it is functional, r

I think they mean in the context of your search. This is what has annoyed me most about the "filter bubble" idea. If google doesn't return _relevant_ results, you'll go somewhere else. If I search for a steak restaurant and get results f

Nebraskan here, in Omaha. People are advised to stay out of the river due to the raw sewage being pumped into the river, with the processing stations at capacity. There is little to no concern (in the area) of anything radiation related.

It seems like another indicator would be requiring anyone you want to share the idea with to sign an NDA. Unless you're sharing an already developed algorithm, or something as special sauce, the NDA just comes across as "My idea the import
