I work in one of the labs that helped build M2S! Small world. Unfortunately I had no role in the matter (just got here) but it’s really cool to stumble into some users for the type of software I work on. I am not entirely sure how you imagi

Some other commenters have offered really good replies, but I’d like to reiterate the sentiment that most major (American) news outlets have heavily prioritized ad revenue and television ratings over their public duty to inform the people.

I am far from the first to say this, but please do push hard for languages that aren't commonplace (or well-developed) on other platforms. My language of choice would be Farsi.

Quick clarification: I am not an author of this paper, I just found it while doing literature review and thought it was worth sharing, as its probably similar to what is done in industry to prevent future designs from being vulnerable to Sp

Update: I was wrong about pages, but the fundamental notion that we're moving towards "solving" latency issues with bandwidth hasn't changed. Paging strategies don't change CAS timing (which is what I should have re

So at the consumer level, DDR2[popular standard c. 2005] could be clocked up to 266 MHz whereas DDR4[popular now] clocks in at 1600MHz. So a little more than a 6x speedup in transaction times. Unlike processors, whose features make it quite

I think a big reason that AI/ML/Robotics is closely associated with FAANG companies is that these are very expensive fields to get into compared to web development or CLI utilities. FAANG companies can also move much faster than F

The progress we have made towards changing the conditions humans live in has evolved immensely, but the progress we have made towards a different human condition from our ancestors is almost nonexistent.

There is some really good discussion on this in the 2018 thread, but I'd really like to see a ROS 3 that conforms a little more to the more widely-used alternatives to the stuff they had to roll for themselves back in the day.
