I was hoping this article was going to mention about remaining calm and not getting angry on the road. He kind of alluded to it in the beginning with 'What’s wrong with you - are you blind?!!' My wife has terrible road rage and I&

Interesting the author made no mention of hearing damage and the impact it could have on the younger generation. I wonder if it was a deliberate decision to avoid a common debate or if she just didn't consider it.

I disagree. I found the speaker's style to be very engaging and I was happy to sit through the whole talk.

Isn't it only difficult to let go employees who've been in the job for more than 2 years? I'm pretty sure that how it is in the UK at least. Even then, there's the option of a PIP, which allows you to quantify their inef

I haven't read as much on the topic as you, but I've always heard that WWII was effectively a continuation of WWI; the root cause being the punitive measures in the Treaty of Versailles. I'd therefore assumed that Hitler was

I'm glad someone else mentioned Scorched Earth. My friends and I played this to death when we were young. I never got on the Worms bandwagon though as it just felt like an over-animated very of Scorched Earth.

My experience is totally opposite. I've found Google voice search very effective, even in a crowded bar. When I listen to some the recordings that were successful[1], I'm frankly amazed at what a good job it does. 1. https:/

I'd never heard of the STAR answering format mention in the article. It looks really useful and I'll definitely give it go next time. Does anyone have any real world experience using these kind of techniques?

While I agree with you that this article is utter rubbish, no-one should be in doubt that we must devour other lifeforms in order to live - vegetarian or not. We're just making choices on what life we are willing to kill. We're al

I disagree with the text being too large. On my 1080p monitor it looks just fine. The two column text is annoying though; I have to scroll down and then up again.

Fascinating article. Long read (I'll be honest, I skipped the middle bits), but the conclusion in interesting. This was the tl;dr for me: "Some things we’ve learned over the past 30 years – that novelty is more important than qual

Does anyone know why American headlines are written in this way? It would sound more natural if it was "Signs of Insiders' Edge in Fantasy Sports" I've seen this a few times before, so I'm guessing it must be a cult

In almost every retro I've been in, 'communication' has been near the top of the list of complaints. Everyone wants to be informed, but nobody wants to take the time to receive the information. For developers, every meeting i

I'm sure Betteridge's Law could be applied much more effectively to American news headlines than anything else. For example, how many times do we see crazy headlines on Fox News like "Is Obama a gay communist terrorist?"
