It's more in scenarios where I enter the room and I ask the patient whether this is their wife/husband etc. It's not like I'm going into the room and saying "hello patient you appear to be a human female". Th

When people are nervous/scared (as they are with doctors) they start rambling about all sorts of things. I had somebody rambling about the Lion King musical versus the lion King cartoon recently, instead of telling me about their rece

Hallucinations are pretty minimal but present. Some lazy physicians are gonna get burned by thinking they can just zone out during the interview and let this do all the work. I edited my original post. Omissions are less worrisome, it’s mor

I’ve been beta testing this for several months. It’s OK. The notes it generates are too verbose for most medical notes even with all the customization enabled. Most medical interviews jump around chronologically and Dragon Copilot does a po

Part of the reason their API is so cheap because they explicitly state they are going to train on your API data. Open AI and Claude say they won’t if you use their API (if you use ChatGPT that’s a different story). There are no free lunc

Hustle culture nonsense aside, I find using whisper (AI) transcription instead of typing to be super efficient. My workflow involves setting up a whisper server, downloading the Whispering(1) app on my computer, and binding it to a shortcut

The gunman etched ‘Delay, Deny, Defend’ in those bullets. UHG denies. KP delays. Both can lead to disastrous consequences. Edit: And by delay, I don’t mean delay in seeing a specialist, I mean delay getting the most modern and up-to-date ca

Kaiser is great, until you get sick. Then it’s a nightmare, especially if you have anything complex going on. I’m a physician that works at an ultra specialized hospital.

The advanced voice of ChatGPT is miles ahead of the Perplexity one. I subscribe to both.

I've subscribed to Perplexity for the past 2 years. ChatGPT search is on par if not better in some respect but I use Perplexity enough to justify the $240 a year still (and inertia). However, if they start pushing ads on Pros subscribe

There’s a correlation with car price I find. Lots of baby blue Porsches and bright green Lambo’s in my neighborhood. Interestingly, the daily driver for these individuals seems to be a white Tesla model Y though.

I’ve tried several different systems, nothing really stands out. That being said, I’m trying to document as much as my life in anticipation of such programs existing in the near future. I’m not going overboard, but for example, I wouldn’t r
