But isn't that like 'forcing' the readers to the full length of the article? It's fine if the content is very compelling. I think it has to have something to do with reading online. It's really challenging to get re

I wonder if it is because using backpropagation all non-linear functions are chained together when the weights are learnt? Is it naive to think by that formulation the results will be quite similar since the final model equations are close?

Well not commenting on the difference in systems, you only need to look at the founders of these companies. The Taiwan / South Korea world top U.S univ graduates vastly out number the chinese ones. I doubt some even got a good educatio

Very cool work! I wonder the same, for a 'cluster' I'm expecting performance and large memory for example for scientific computing. Other than that I couldn't think of any other use cases. If anyone could enlighten me? C

There are substantial number of internet users capable of breaking out of the GFW. At least to my knowledge. The VPN request signature is actually very obvious and prone to be recognised by GFW. There are many other recommended methods. A l

That's my worry too. A lot of us are very defensive now even to be reasonable. However it is hard to buy these videos if you were born and raised in China, simply because you understand the culture around it. For example there are a lo

I would add that the Golden Rule is more on a personal (one on one) level. For that I agree it is universal. For one vs a population / a community vs an individual it may not apply.

And there's the potential risk of being mediocre on many fields and become less competitive in each area. My opinion is it really needs to be the field you love (biology, science etc) to be worth the effort.
