It looks like this is currently in a private alpha, but the code is all open source. [1] When Apple introduced something similar, I really wished that someone else would provide something similar. I'm glad to see Mozilla is gearing up

This is a prime example of where I think GitHub's acquisition of Dependabot and npm could really pay off. Imagine being able to publish a prerelease version of your library and run the CI tests of your consumers, all from within the Gi

I'm not holding my breath, but I really hope Apple works with Microsoft to ensure that Boot Camp still continues to work. Windows on ARM on a MacBook with a powerful A14 sounds like a delight.

Hangouts doesn't exist anymore. There's just Google Meet (business-focused video conferencing) and Duo (consumer-focused video calling).

If I had to guess, the AV1 encoding is being done server-side. AFAIK no phone has a hardware AV1 encoder (or decoder for that matter). The bitrate is low enough that a software decoder is likely fast enough.

I think you're confused: the original iPhone SE, the one the parent comment is mentioning, has a headphone jack. The new iPhone SE, the one that hasn't been released yet, doesn't.

As someone who has been incredibly excited for the Surface Neo, I'm really bummed to hear that it won't be coming this year. I'm intrigued at the idea of Windows 10X on single-screen devices, but I think the dual-screen aspec

This was an early limitation, which was fixed in Windows 1803 with the release of the Windows.Graphics.Capture API. [1] That being said, your general point that there's so many ways to develop an app for Windows, and that not all of th

Super excited to see that you'll be supporting GitHub! That being said, do you have plans to implement any sort of account merging? For example, the ability to login with one of multiple authorized accounts (so my Google Account, my Tw

My primary use of the Dark Sky API is for minute-by-minute forecasts. I've yet to find another API that can answer the question "Do I have enough time to walk my dog before it starts raining?"

Can confirm. I'm in central Washington, and while restaurants and bars are closed, people are _definitely_ not respecting social distancing guidelines. I've even had people tell me to move closer to other people when standing in l

I have an Amazon Echo Show 5 on my desk that's connected to my calendar. I've updated the homescreen settings such that it only alternates between the current time and the calendar display, which displays the next upcoming event.

The single biggest gripe I have with GitHub on Android is that when I click on a GitHub link to a new repo, it asks if I want to open the repo in Chrome or GitHub. This happens for every. single. repo. I think they messed up their URL inten

The rumor is that the Duo has been hardware-final since 2018. They were waiting for Windows 10X to be ready, but eventually decided to just launch it with Android instead of attempting to make a phone version of Windows 10X. Source: https:
