I'd imagine it has something to do with best finance apps being sponsored by interest groups (banks, online payment vendors, credit card companies etc.)

Pinterest is totally not transferable to small screen mobile devices. Its main point is to offer many images at a glance, which is impossible on small screen.

Yes, I blurted out. I was just pondering on the idea of frontending IRC channels somehow to provide similar service.

I think it is mostly revolving around fixing CSS or markup so you don't have to provide anything really, besides the link to live version. That is limiting though, I imagine I would think twice before sending either credentials for producti

Um, there's this "service" called IRC. They mostly do same thing, and you have the opportunity to get "fixed" by the creators of the technology involved.

My thoughts exactly, though my sentiment is that Steve Mann deserves some thought from Glass engineers. I've been following his work for some years (decades) now, and while he is an "interesting" person, he has made many leaps in both desig

I can finally say goodbye to trackstick with it (I've never actually used trackpad, they're horrible)! Vim home row nav welcomes this open handed.

I almost completely agree. This won't really kill touch interfaces. It will go in conjunct with those. However, it will kill trackpads, and possibly mouse. The demos on videos are misleading in a way that they infer that this is competing w

I've been watching this from the public announcement date, preordered, applied for dev sdk, and been active on the forums, as well as pondered the possibilities (read, waving hands in the air a lot). In my conclusion - THIS WILL REPLACE TRA

I'm having high hopes of getting Leap Motion [1] developer device and playing with something a lot more hardware-ish (even though it's still waving in the air), within iOS. [1] http://leapmotion.com

I've personally found non-tactile touch interfaces to be too delicate to operate live. That might genre-biased, though.

That may work for clearly defined product and very loose development timeline, but what when you need to make a social network based app with deadline 3 days from order, which may well be spiraling virally the day of the launch? Your securi

Most of the companies I've worked with had absolutely no security considerations. They've expected it to work out of the box, with, say, RoR and Apache. Needless to say, it didn't work. Also to be noted, there were no noticed service disrup

Misguided title as it may be, article (successfully) really suggests that GitHub is ignored in studies of social networks and group collaboration, and it shouldn't be, given its productive capacity, as opposed to time-wasting alternatives.

Working with/for someone isn't programming, it's business relations, and thinking otherwise hurts both parties. It is a nuanced difference, though.

One thing is being a good programmer and wholly another selling oneself as good programmer. And that's absolutely not sad state of affairs; it is how it is and it is how it should be.
