Worth noting that it's possible to get a hellban if you get too many wrong guesses using extensions like Buster.

Like most kinds of gated security, many solutions are borne out of inspecting the payload instead of who's sending it. Captchas prevent bots from submitting spam, but they don't prevent humans from submitting spam. In 99% of cases

Just alt-tabbed in from writing runescape bots to HN and wanted to say that's still the case (for the client I use). The code is pretty complicated now but still functions much like you say. Mouse position is tracked, then any input wh

Yep, my wife's still on the 6S for that reason. I'd love to find her a new iPhone that fits her must-haves (a small screen and a headphone jack), but at this point it looks like she might end up with her first Android ever (probab

This looks potentially very interesting. I haven't been following leaks and the article doesn't mention: will this model sport a headphone jack?

I agree with you, but I think that was MagnumOpus's point of bringing up patients per million. A country of 1,000 people and a 10% infection rate has more patients that need masks, but it could be argued that a country of 5 people and

Looking at either number of patients or patients per capita both result in nonfractional masks given to individual patients. It's just a matter of whether someone morally thinks more patients equals more urgent (60k FR vs 235K US), or

Considering Byte was made by the original Vine founder after he said he regretted selling Vine to Twitter, I'm not sure he'd be in the market to sell a successor quite so quickly.

As someone who just jumped from Byte to TikTok, I'm excited to see what new innovations Shorts brings to the table. Correct me if I'm wrong, but YouTube is pretty much #1 in video management/processing/distribution/

Nobody's saying that either. Apple has a pattern of purchasing companies that already offer products on other platforms and immediately shutting all non-iOS products down. Obviously, they're free to run their business however they

I don't think anyone's raising any problems about Apple buying a small company instead of developing comparable functionality in-house. People are raising concerns over Apple buying a small company and shutting down its offerings
