For anecdote's sake, I: - frequently click through on Facebook ads because they're often SaaS products I'd be interested in (and have found a bunch of cool tools I use now) - think my Spotify suggestions are spot-on. I used t

Yeah, I'd agree that no-one is, which is exactly why I also think this kind of job should be automated away -- to spare the real humans from having to deal with emotional cancer. I spent ~6 months working on tech to detect potentially-

I was very surprised to be in such a small apparent-minority. 17% seems incredibly low for something like this to me.

I think the touchbar was my favorite part of my old MBP, specifically because of the contextual buttons that are always changing. I'd probably pay a little extra to get one on future non-Mac laptops, but not too much extra.

I registered a .us domain yesterday (which doesn't support WHOIS protection-esque anonymity services) and so far today I've received: * 6 phone calls * 4 voicemails * 9 emails all from what looks like companies from third-world co

I don't know if other people feel the same way, but I definitely feel a downside whenever I get invested in something (even a small bite of something) and then have to pause halfway through and resume at a later date/time. Tension

To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if a large % of TikTok users watch are on the app for durations equivalent to full length content. I see two, three, even four hours/day spent in the app surprisingly frequently. It's built

Honestly, the whole thing reads as a conspiracy fed by an anonymous (outdated?) source, and the Wikileaks-esque drip of leaks "culminating with full headers!" doubles down on feeling more like a cry for attention/help than an

Looks neat. Doesn't seem to work with my Razer Blade Stealth touchscreen though (touching to move mouse doesn't work like normal, touchpad has to be what moves it). Would be super cool with multitouch support.

Modders (luckily) keep finding a way. It's just unfortunate for the player that having Facebook as an owner means they need to show more good will in preventing the distribution of custom songs so they don't get held accountable f

Yeah, I don't even have a graphics card in this laptop and it handled it fan-less the entire time with a smooth framerate. Seems very well made.

I find that the typical missing link to understand this response is trust in the police. If you trust them to do their job (and trust that their job is actually to protect the community, not attack it), you also typically trust in them to

Embarrassed for my city. Whether you agree or disagree with this ban seems to fall on two divisive opinion sets: 1) Facial recognition does more (less) good than harm 2) The police should (shouldn't) be given tools to do their job bett

The fact that this is permanent seems like it won't scale well over time as people who would blur their house move from house to house. What am I supposed to do if I move into a house that someone else has blurred?
