Agreed, just because they raised $30M doesn't mean they have to be sold for more than that. Many investors would likely be happy with getting some of their money back at this point.

Moderate inflation is actually a good thing. Without inflation, there is no reason to invest your money -- the incentive is to hoard wealth, like in the Middle Ages.

Acquisitions made primarily with private stock really fall into two buckets: - Those where the private stock is worth more than cash. It would have been a good bet to get pre-IPO Google stock instead of the same amount in cash. - Those wher

A quick piece of feedback: On your home page, you should put a sign-up button where your login is now. As is, it's incredibly difficult to figure out where to sign-up. Put your log-in text or form in the upper-right hand corner: it's where

There is a way: it's called dividends. The problem is that dividends are subject to double taxation: first at ~44% (Federal + CA) for the corporation, then at the dividends rate for the individual, which is currently at 24.3% (15% Fed + 9.3

To be fair, I've been beta testing the device and it is very bad ass. It works extremely well, is very comfortable, and offers a lot more than any competitors at a much better price. EDIT: I should also mention that I own the sleeptracker w

That's absolutely right. Generally speaking though, you need to be popular (a lot of customers) in order to generate significant profits. Since "making something people want" is generally considered a harder problem than monetizing that ser

All three Weebly founders went to a state school (Penn State!) and never had a real job. It's certainly possibly to be successful no matter what school you went to.

We fight spam fairly aggressively, and the amount of spam created on the system is a very small percentage of the legitimate users. You've probably visited multiple legitimate Weebly websites before but just didn't know we were behind them.

Sorry, that was probably poor phrasing. I meant to say that people are creating web applications that act more like "real" applications. Websites will likely follow a different evolutionary path.

I would imagine that since paper money gets its value entirely from the trust the public places in its authenticity and value, any printing defect will cause chaos when the not-completely-uniform bills go into circulation. This will waste t

Actually, the design contest results were amazing. We had over 2,000 submissions, and a couple hundred of those will end up being implemented in Weebly. We're actually waiting until we can fully support all of the "features" of some of the

Usually, important decisions in a company require a majority vote of the board of directors to approve them. Control of the board is then defined as a majority voting ability for an individual or aligned group of individuals. For example, 2

This makes the most sense, especially considering Level 3's very careful wording in their press release. This kind of thing happens all the time, relatively speaking. There's really nothing to care about here. If you get upset over this,
