Great point. We stayed at a lot of campsites in California a few summers ago and wrestled with the bookings. In the end our favourite spot was a quiet campsite in Lassen Volcanic park.

I object to the word 'weird' here but I get your point. A time that comes to mind is Fifty Shades of Grey bringing sadomasochism into popular culture and discussion.

While I agree with your sentiment on stereotypes, looking at the link your comment seems misleading. The airlines you mention score lower on 'Safety Rating' due to lack of IOSA certification. "Registering for IOSA certificati

Alexa needs a PageRank and an 'I'm feeling lucky' that is successful the majority of the time. I would like it to work as a room of human experts works with a moderator. Alexa, how long will it take me to cycle to Netto? Alex

The Moccamaster is ubiquitous in Denmark. When I moved here from the UK (where the average household gets their coffee from a jar of Nescafe) it was a curious sight. We picked up our Moccamaster second hand for 300 DKK (about 45 USD). This

"If all you have is a hammer..." You're talking to software engineers here. Equating 'humanity' to us on Hacker News forgets about all of the mechanical engineers who would do a great job of racking those pins.

Ooo... I think we have a BBC bot. The submitter 'MiriamWeiner' only submits from BBC.com and does so about once a day. Never comments. Very irregular pattern for a human, although perhaps not for a happy license-fee payer.
