Inefficiency is no excuse. I'm sure there are as many lawyers who love or hate their job as there are developers that do... some people (like myself) love doing the work but I have many colleagues who find it tedius and boring. I would say

Not likely. Amazon and Apple provides a lot more content than just TV/movies. Netflix does not. Netflix does one thing and it does it extremely well. The Amazon prime tv/movies web interface is a complete and utter nightmare to use that I o

Yeah, lets ban violent video games. That way I'm forced to pirate them instead of buy them on Steam sales. I haven't had to pirate anything since I was a poor college waif.

I think the counter point would be that if they actually do make positive changes to the laws to reflect their newfound wisdom then perhaps their public pandering will actually be a good thing. The public just needs to make sure that they d

Really good (long) summary, zanny. That was what I had garnered from the article's musings. It's something I've thought about a lot myself actually. How would I give a child the opportunity to learn to hack or program if they wanted to? For

Not everything needs native C++ performance. I use C# all the time on things that need easy maintainability and to be as secure as I can reasonably make it.
