From what I suspect, we are talking about some backend issue that they are handling. Throughout my career I've never seen a "rotating shifts team" that can handle situations like this. It's usually one guy trying to fix

I guess this might work with celebrities or so, but according to the continental law system this app should not hold up in court. If it did work in court, that would be a dangerous experience. I would be crazy to write this, but I can'

That's what I think as well. My native is Bulgarian and I've been through the whole range, you mentioned. What saves me is having File -> Open with Encoding ( Sublime Text ). Unfortunately they removed it from Chrome [1]. http

Thanks for the links. Qbserve looks awesome! I'm having a problem though, since I'm using a work Mac and a home Mac, I won't be able to sync. As far as I read from the website: > For the same reason, there is no sync. Sor

As far as I can see from this article, Sublime text is faster than vim. That's astonishing considering that Sublime uses GUI and vim is a console editor. I also like vim, but Sublime + vintage ( vim-mode ) works good and you have the b

Interesting for me is that my iPhone 4 is much faster than my iPhone 5S. And the battery lasts much longer on my 4. I think what Apple changed these days is that the latest version of iOS works both on 5+, while I remember my iPhone 4 was

Most of the polyfills these days are pretty much syntax sugar & ES6 transpiling. If you do your code in non ES6 plain JS way, I'm quite sure the IDE will give you the benefits that you receive with jQuery.

That was a relevant answer couple of years ago. These days you can achieve most with having a properly setup IDE-intellisense ( e.g. WebStorm ).

In this specific case jQuery's `show` is just giving you a shortcut to show/hide arbitrary elements. Try doing this with CSS, please. <div class="element"></div> .element { display: block; }

It's really sad. I always thought there are lots of companies, acting like WhatsApp ( $1,000,000 donation to FreeBSD [1] ) and return back value to open source, the same way they got value out of it. I'm really surprised that inst

The Patreon page says they receive $177 per month. That's too low for a project with such a high popularity and usage. I read somewhere ( and I bet ) it's used by Google / Facebook / Apple employees.

Note that Guardian is successful, because of "supporters" and not >subscribers<. It's different than WSJ, where they lock the content, until you pay. The Guardian way looks more like the Wikipedia one.

I'm happy about this article, not because of what it says, but because of the popularity it got. NodeJS is not as bad as people think and I'm really excited about when it will regain status in the "pros" community.
