Okay too much GitHub hate going on these days. It's just impossible to have that unnoticed. I really hope there are no politics behind those articles ( or their publicity ).

Is it really so real ( the bubble being burst right now )? What the HN community thinks about it?

This is cool, I'm eager to try out and take some ideas. As a New Year's resolution I tried to improve my dev environment and in January, I created a big yeoman generator for making most of my time consuming tasks trivial, like : 1

There is a guy that is in solitary confinement since 1983 [1]. I was shocked when I read about him. It's a fascinating story, nevertheless so shameful for the society. 23 hours a day in a room for more than 30 years. :( 1 : https:

This is so true. I still remember the debate about Guantanamo Bay detention camp and how he wanted to completely close it, but nothing actually happened. [1] I don't know which one is worse : Holding prisoners without a charge for deca

Thousand times yes for this. There are many science studies that once you become a prisoner, instead of actually improving yourself, you degrade to the point that you become better criminal. The world goes to reducing punishments and this i

Really cool story. I can also see myself in it. So far I'm just a freelancer with some side projects that help me and my work, but ... I've always imagined any success not as a "bright idea", but more or less creating a

I think this Google rule is too specific and in the same time too general for being alive. The whole idea : > Inline small CSS. is too specific. I think when you work on a huge web-application you don't want to create such a bloat i

Well it really depends. There is no legal requirement for the company to fire an employee based on customer ratings, so it should definitely be as it is ... up to the employer to deal with this. Something more. One time I happened to have b

Disclaimer : I live in Berlin and work in IT. The benefit that Uber gives me here in Berlin, for me, is really big : 1) Global usage ( I travel a lot around Europe and I can use the same app everywhere, no need to look for a local app ) 2)

I usually answer "Javascript is bad" statements with "English is not the most declarative language too, but ... it's the most common". Anyway I think JS is not a part of my statement, so I'm not going to agree

Yep, but environments also change. Microservices are so popular nowadays and I see so many libraries written by Yahoo, Microsoft, Airbnb, etc., which are NodeJS oriented. And no. Things break all the time and still give value to customers.

My tip is to avoid the use of tag names to style your page. Use classes instead. Go further and investigate BEM naming conventions or better. Start creating components ( React, Web components, etc. ) that have encapsulated CSS.
