I love this too. Too bad it doesn't pack enough power to handle the HDMI port too :)

A friend of mine is affected by this, combined with her innate hypochondriac tendencies it makes her life very difficult and her sense of self-worth and confidence very low. However, I am at a loss as to how to approach her to help her. Try

I was wondering about this as well. Isn't chalk dust super bad for your lungs?

I dream of material that would explain some advanced (for a regular person understanding of the word) math concepts using Python. Maybe it's because I've programmed more in my life than did math, but the "language" we us

London also has bus route 389 - the entire route is I think 1.5 miles, with something like a dozen stops

Maybe the English custom of Dogging is a remote echo of Doggerlander traditions woven into the local culture. They must have all moved to UK to escape the flood.

Thats a shame. And btw, did you know moose/elk were first described on paper by Julius Ceasar during his "trip" to Germania? He thought they have no joints in their legs and sleep propped up against trees. Just a little moose

Thanks, that was an interesting test. I guess my feeling of "I'm slightly colourblind" is correct. I don't seem to have that many problems with blue though. My results: https://imgur.com/a/0AvU4hX

Did I say I'm speaking for all applications using chatbots? No, I related a specific experience/product/company. Of course it's biased! Chatbots can be useful, but this just wasn't the case for our audience (which i

Yep, basically. We had a few chatbot products for some pretty popular media brands, they noted little to no engagement. Alexa, on the other hand, seems to get engaged a lot, even though in theory it suffers from the same problem.

Yeah I get the same impression, it's just that I don't think I could recognise those as Purple and Violet even in non-oversaturated form, to me it's all just different nameless hues of blue.

Hmmm, no I guess not. If I didn't know I'd just label both as blue.

Interesting article "So, purple is more reddish and saturated, while violet is more bluish and less saturated." I'm slightly colorblind and this sentence made me WTF out loud. Purple in that picture looks way more bluish than

I think there is nothing wrong with dehumanising and degenderising computer assistants, they are neither human nor do they have gender. We tend to think making computer interfaces appear human makes it easier for us, but I disagree. We have

Has anyone here managed to quit coffee completely after being really into it? I have 1-2 a day, can't imagine starting starting a day without it, but despite really loving the taste I would rather not feel the need to have it.

Frankly I think /.s model of moderation is superior to most other sites, eclipsed to my knowledge only by stack exchange (no experience with discourse)

Its jobs we need done but that are also borderline demeaning. Something machines should do. Some people still want to do them, but I would not, no matter the break time. Paying more would be good, but there is a limit to that.

Not aware of the show you speak of, was just parroting poorly written chatbots. As for humor, that's one thing AI is not going to be able to do well for many years to come because it requires too much creativity. But as a Turing test i
