I do think we are stuck in this cycle, where our government/politicians appeal to our basest impulses and urges. Outrage, sympathy, jingoism. This is rewarded with political support, viewers, clicks on the headline. Even this article “

Some tips.. As I've made up for loss of benefits, etc. in other ways after going self-employed. I've always done my own taxes so was comfortable with that aspect. - Everything is deductible, your computer, home work space, etc.. T

It needs to be better policed but I sense it's way undervalued being one of the few huge media platforms. It's a smart move. Meta market cap was 1T down to 600B. Other techs market caps? 43B sounds like a bargain. Just the hype of

There needs to always be a place for anonymity, but I’d argue not in all forums. Words have impact. I’d love to see some foundation or something to work on the problem of toxicity/hate. Develop technologies to allow sites to better pol

My toy projects I include the IP address in the JWT payload, so JWT is only good for that IP. I don't always see that in examples. Not sure any downsides of that (if client is rotating IPs or VPN I may be blocking them anyway). But

Mid-life crisis is a real thing - didn't really expect it. But can be viewed in a positive way. Out of what can be a pretty terrifying psychological breakdown, can also be considered part of a process of evolution and discovery. If you

Yes big fan of Workers and Cf. The only issue it was confusing tying the domain to the worker, but that was a few years ago - last I tried it a couple months ago seemed easier.

I think the problem was/is a generation of inexperienced developers who were brought up on importing packages for padding a number. Thing that always struck me was how easy and free it was to publish. Kinda fun to imagine a packaging

Efficiency seems to be a real priority w them. I like the simplicity in Deno Deploy also. You literally get a text box and just type in your cloud function. You don't have to install cli, set up tooling, for a quick try out.

For work stuff yes, personal stuff no. Although the personal projects are never finished so really have no commercial value - just the fun of doing them.

Granted there's a lot of hype and the tech is not there yet, but seems the tech absolutely can be developed. As far as the safety, these things can be indemnified and that will pave the way. Don't see any problem insurers can pri

This seems good for Ford not necessarily good for prices. A customer order is lower cost to the manufacturer and dealer as the vehicle doesn't need to be in inventory. Thus, you can sometimes get a lower price by ordering from the fact

Caching. That you control in code - not controlled by server headers which never worked reliably back to the earliest days. Already addressed in browsers in window.caches, serviceworker. It's not so much you need JQuery version x cache

People are leaving for FL and TX cause taxes you add in the salt deduction change its considerable. Have lived in FL TX and NY. Add in weather and TX and FL are actually nice places to live for the most part.

You could get the job to pay the bills and open source the project. Take just a little time each week to publicize it and find people willing to contribute. If it catches on widely you will be able to live off working it full time. If not,

NATO is adversarial to Russia, so it shouldn't be NATO, but some entity should be brokering a deal here, not seeing much upside in escalating militarily or even banning Swift. There's ultimately no war to be won against Russia, Pu

What about upnp as an alternative to stun to achieve real p2p? You may need something native to setup but would not rely on a relay.

These are all potential issues with plain sse, but are pretty easily solved in a few lines of code. Granted the benefits of sse: no additional port to open, no dependencies - just slip your logic into your routing at /events. Of cours
