How do you figure? >Apple made a mistake in blocking the developper account. The judge on the case doesn't feel that way. They have, thus far, agreed with Apple's side on everything except their decision to block Epic's ot

There are a few inaccuracies in your comment. For one, every agreement, regardless of the device it applies to very clearly states that violating the terms of the developer account on one device can be grounds for terminating the entire dev

Well, it makes sense that this story's headline would favor Epic - it's a headline on epicgames.com. They're the only ones still pretending like they're the victim.

Does that include children under 18, though? If so, then they're not counted in the income calculation. That means the problem is worse , not better.

They're not. In-app purchases have to go through Apple. You're allowed to sell things outside of the App Store so long as you don't try to use that to circumvent purchases available within it. For example, you can watch video

No... that's not the same thing at all ..? It would be like you using AOL and only being able to view the channels that AOL offered (which is exactly what it was). Apple has no authority to tell you what you can do with your device on

Because that's not a "digital good" and you're not buying something from your bank. It's the same reason you don't pay Apple 30% to buy something with Best Buy's app or Target's app. The rules are not

They're not. That's the whole point. These are Apple's customers since they're finding the app in the App Store. Epic has other customers that play Fortnite that are not Apple customers.

Because the rules of the App Store say that the apps that get charged the fee are those who rely on the purchases or payments as their primary function. Browsers have a different primary function.

That's a little silly as an example because AOL was exactly like this back in the day and had curated channels. You could still access external sites if AOL was your ISP as well but anything inside of the AOL application was reviewed b

That's pretty naive, in my opinion. TikTok has access to your microphone, even on an iOS device where it's far more limited than Android, which means that the Chinese government has access to ultrasonics. This means that China can

You're saying that Apple is somehow uniquely able to defy the laws of physics and that other companies shouldn't be required to do the same? This isn't a quality issue. It's an issue with the chemistry and physics of bat

Yes, you are misunderstanding. I don't see how that's not obvious to you. iMessage is tied to an Apple ID. Unregistering your phone number from that Apple ID doesn't turn iMessage off. The fact that you think it does is where

iPads don't have phone numbers so the person sending you the message is sending it to an Apple ID, not a phone number. This is working exactly the way it's supposed to.
