I think it's mostly the people that think it's too radical of a change. They expected Tesla to release a more conventional vehicle that looks like other trucks now. Considering that the first Tesla cars looked at least somewhat like the ICE cars in their class, it wasn't an unreasonable assumption. Also, the geometry of the body is more functional that it is for form and that probably puts at least a few people off.
