I think the difference is that with Apple, you get charged BY Apple, and a payment to Apple doesnt get declined, but on Google, each dev is a merchant that the banks aren't recognizin, and we get declined left and right.

When iOS became popular, developers spilled the beans left and right about how successful they were, causing a landslide of competition and a massive goldrush. I think Android devs with success realized this and have decided it's better fo

What are you answering? I think his post goes to show that this statement isn't really true. Android users are willing to pay for quality apps, and the lack there-of has made your statement somewhat more true in the beginning of Android, b

The orders show up as "Payment Declined" in the order inbox, or "Cancelled by Google". If a customer just refunds, then the order just says "Cancelled" and the details of the order say that the card was successfully authorized. It's those p

Android users are paying, I can attest to that as well. Mind sharing about how high you rank on iOS? Also, I just went to download BridgeBasher. Your game wants crazy permissions. Why should a game have to update my SD card contents, need

I have just ONE thing to say: Do not change anything Reddit. Seriously, it's working, it's great to have, and I would be completely bummed if they pulled their own "Digg v4" at broke a perfectly working system. Sure, infrastructure can get

I agree, the bloodbath of "Payment Declined" orders in our order inbox is downright infuriating. This is especially painful when customers email us saying that they purchase apps all the time on Android and their card didn't work only when

Holy crap, what is your secret? I average 15K impressions a day on one of our games, and get maybe 30 clicks, and make around a buck. You get ~2K impressions and close to 115 clicks and make ~$5-$10 If I could get your numbers I'd be making

This is how bullying works. If the victim is small and accessible, with their reputation on the line, you can put them in their place. When DropBox broke, the community pounced. Apple can't be bullied. With DropBox I can just cancel my memb

Are you referring to being a salary worker? I think that's what he LEFT to start making money on his own. Not having a boss is worth 5x his salary IMO :)

I went to the homepage, and I cannot figure out what this company does. At all. I went to the Learn More page. Still don't know. Checked Case Studies, erm? So, I "think" that they may already have data, and allow people to analyze it?

The problem with this argument is that many of us are making significant money in the Market, and we feel pretty strongly that for that 30% cut Google gets of our sales, we should be getting way better support. Hell, GREAT support. Then t

There was nothing in the forum post from Google about "improving" anything. They directed us to contact forms that always existed. Just TRY using those contact forms. I haven't tried today, but when I used them in the past, the first thin

You can't blame PHP because the developers using it write messy code. I'll have the same problem in Java. I'll need to find out where I implemented some logic, and have to start digging through classes and following my own breadcrumbs unti
