This patent thing has to come to a head. Something has to happen. It's not just big companies that are involved here. Guys like me. A family man in the northwest just trying to make a living doing pretty obvious things with technology is

That's not the solution. The fleet manager should have seen the condition their driver was in and found a way to get another driver out there ASAP.

> It isn't trucks who are menace on the road, it is flipping off jerks in cars. The article states: - The driver may be "numb". - He is in emotional distress. - He has skipped meals - He has been driving the better half of 14 hours. THI

Who flips someone off because they had to slow down? This was my point. This article was written by a fleet manager protecting the reputation of his drivers, but I am trying to say that there must be more to the story and usually people get

It only takes one moment where your entire family almost dies because of a truck driver to jade your opinion of all of them - or at least to be nervous every single time one comes within a 100 feet of you. I don't flip off truck drivers, b

If a truck driver (or anyone on the road) gets flipped off, it is usually because they are driving a huge vehicle too aggressively and dangerously. If his sister died, or he's getting paid peanuts, he still has to drive respectfully and saf

This IS how most non-developers "try" :) I had an associate who would usually work with me to bring his web-based ideas to life. He decided to see if he could create one of his web-app ideas himself, and after realizing that it meant spend

This poll should have so many more options. Every day it changes. Some days I'll read only 3 articles all day, but in full. Tomorrow, I'll read about 20% of 5 articles. Last week, maybe I read about 50% of 30 articles. It's based on the co

Exactly, which is why I made the 1985 remark. It feels like the helmets all over again. Why not have Max Headroom do an ad for the 3DS and we're all good.

Why not develop for iOS in Flash/Air too and have one code base? I personally think the Air download requirement on Android is a still a pretty big deterrent for most users. I really wish Adobe could have found a way to build Android apps

Just a word of advice on Android, polish your app really well before launch. The Android Market comment system is relentless. If you don't have a smashingly nice app out of the gate, you'll probably get a couple 1-star "sucks"/"rubbish" r

My Kids have DS's. But for Christmas, I bought each of them and my wife an iPod touch. The concept was simple, I spend about $70 more per device, but instead of buying $500 worth of games over the next 2 years, I will probably spend $50.
