I’m not sure if it’s ultimately good or bad, but I do know that if only one company or country controls it then it will be bad. Either way, I think it’s an unstoppable force and preposterous that we puny humans could stop it when we can’t s

I’d probably adjust that to at least 50%. Many European counties had extended high youth unemployment, but minimal political unrest.

Laughing at Elon is always helpful to me personally. The civilization ending development is going to happen or not happen. It’s hubris to think any one person or one country has a say at this point.

The pee is in the pool. The black swan has left the barn. And yeah, I had a laugh at the signatories. Of course my heart goes out to the non-billionaires that might be out of a job. Or maybe us lucky duckies are going to travel the world on

Sure, the powerful countries all have them, which cancels out their threat. Should the US not develop this tech and let the Chinese be the sole AI superpower?

Media narrative obviously. This looks like a story about the war’s effects on energy and resources. Better to redirect people’s anger so they they don’t lose their appetite for the proxy war.

Something interesting is that this article breaks the narrative about it all being about the vegetables and the weather. Veg inflation was 18%, slightly below the average. Several other food categories like grains and fats had higher inflat

Honestly, I don’t see how anyone really paying attention can draw this conclusion. Take a look at the kinds of questions on the benchmarks and the AP exams. Independent reasoning is the key thing these tests try to measure. College entrance

Sure, some people want to make a tool. Others really do want to create digital life, something that could have its own agency and self-direction. But if you have total control over something like that, you now have a slave, not a tool.

I doubt the score would have been part of sentiment analysis. I ignored it and tried to make a judgement based on the text alone. It seemed more like a 5/10 review to me and mildly negative. And yes it absolutely is subjective. That’s

Yes, if 95% of white collar professionals are put out of work, there will be so much competition for the trades that their labor value will be destroyed as well.

I’ll keep repeating this: if you don’t have a career future you who are smart, engaged, knowledgeable and passionate, then no one does in any field. Personally, I believe this tech will change work, make it faster, let us get more done and

It sounded jaded and a little sarcastic to me. I don’t think the reviewer liked the movie much, found it all that original or entertaining.

It seems pretty awesome at those tasks. Point it at a meeting transcript and have it create user stories. I Don think GPT-4 replaces a person in any professional role I can think of, but it seems all people will find a range of tasks can be

I think you are close to understanding, but not. People who want to create AGI want to create a god, at least very close to the definition of one that many cultures have had for much of history. Worship would be inevitable and fervent.

Italy has its share of fast food as well and pizza can be fast also. The famous Italian espresso was adopted by business trying to make and sell coffees faster. It’s a big country and 60 million people means a lot of ways to live in it.

The really fun thing is that they are reasonably sure that GPT-4 can’t do any of those things and that there’s nothing to worry about, silly. So let’s keep building out this platform and expanding its API access until it’s threaded through

I would be interested to play with a long term memory plugin. It could be a note-taking system that would summarize prior conversations and pull their context into the current conversation through topic searches. This would enable the model

No, that’s exactly it. Game development cycles are long. UE was officially released just 1 year ago. Projects take on risk if they are one of the very first adopters of a new engine since they will end up dealing with all the teething issue

Something interesting is that there is no mention of fine-tuning. Is GPT-4 so good at general tasks out of the box that fine-tuning is obsolete? Can one model really be equally good at Python and poetry?
