If we can seriously consider the idea that developers will be made redundant by GPT-x, then there is a long line of other professions in the same boat. If this is happening, really happening, the the whole labor market is probably toast for a generation and we are all either going on basic income or fighting over the scraps. But personally, I think this might be a good productivity booster, but will take another 10 years to really change how work is done.
