WUSTL. Great school, but no fancy name brand. I like Product Management, creating fun lil side projects, and biz strategy. So really both? Not the math-competition type. And yeah. If possible I'd actually more want to get a masters or

Not what I'm talking about; I can have a nihilist burnout about something other than being a software engineer. It's just run-of-the-mill angst towards the tragedy of the commons is all.

It's been said before but I'll say it 1000 times again: the over-saturation of subscription saas is annoying and wholly unnecessary. new models of business should replace it, or even larger economic policy.

Unrelated, but on a different thread you mentioned you'd be interested in hiring for your health tech startup. I've gone ahead and removed that thread as I'd gotten the advice I needed, but I'd still love to chat. Thanks

Currently doing. Seeking advice how to potentially continue doing but for a year abroad while working. Less about college vs. not college. (Though I'm appreciating these conversations too.)

I'm working on this right now, actually. This is how I've gotten the idea to take the year off. It's less so that I'd like to "do something more useful" than college, and more that I'd like to continue to

I'm not sure how to answer your last question, really. I mean it might be rhetorical but I honestly believe I'd benefit from both coursework and this year off. A lot to consider, but I appreciate the advice.

The idea is to get an internship in Europe in the middle of college to upskill. In HS I didn't learn as much CS as I could've, unfortunately this puts my programming skills "behind."
