You're kidding right? The right says a lot of stupid things...ok TONS of stupid things, but "left leaning media" isn't one of them. These media outlets may not be state blessed, but we have the media on our side, and we

I agree with this 100%. These types of people have been around for centuries, the only difference is now they have a mouthpiece and encouragement. Use your block button, it's free.

The harassment from Twitter is everywhere on both sides of the political spectrum though. You're painting a very one sided picture. I'm not attacking you here I'm just saying there is a narrative about the "alt-right&quo

It's extremely difficult to find an addict that didn't "try pot first" but that's only one part of the equation. Where it breaks down is when you draw the correlation as "most hard drug users have tried pot, so

Here is one thing Fox News does do: give us information about things the rest of them don't want to think about. Ever see what happens to coverage when a shooter/attacker is Muslim? 8:30am (CNN, MSNBC, Fox News) MASS SHOOTER AT UN

You're absolutely right about that, they spun the wars pretty hard and the other media outlets criticized them... until BO took office.

See this is the problem. Way too much groupthink nowadays. Do you honestly think Fox News is all fake? Hint: it's not. I'm a lifelong democrat but here's where last November's events hit me even harder than most: I know

Fair enough, I can respect that and it sounds like we mostly agree. I think some adjustment may be needed, but since this has become so political I fear things will be taken so far in one direction that the backlash will come back and punis

Maybe it's not so much that I'm oversimplifying as others are over complicating the issue. It's funny you bring up dragging yourself to a library, because that's exactly what I did in the early 2000s. My family did not h

You are somewhat correct, as it applies to me. I didn't wait for magical liberal policies to fix everything. I pursued this path knowing I was at a disadvantage so I became so good at what I do they can't possibly ignore me. It wo

This is a false narrative, and does more harm than good. In this industry anyone can gain experience. The amount of self taught developers is evidence of it. The onus is on YOU to go out and make it happen. By saying minorities and women ne

You completely missed my point. Drastically. I never said they (we) are less qualified, I was referring to the action of hiring a less qualified person based on the fact that they are a minority or a woman. When this happens, it angers EVER

This new mindset is dangerous and self defeating by nature. By hiring someone less qualified because they're a minority or woman just makes others resent them. Especially those who are minorities and/or women and they ARE qualifie
